The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang was an American long-range single-seat fighter/bomber. It was used in the later campaigns in World War 2 and due to it's reliability, was used in the Korean War and other conflicts. When the United States entered the Korean War, the P-51 was its primary fighter until the advent of jet fighters. Despite this the P-51 was still used by some air forces until the 1980s.
